Was hoping to take a picture of the moon rise on Monday down at Nubble Lighthouse but the weather doesn't look promising this picture is a screen shot from a program I downloaded it is a great tool for photographers it shows the sunrise and moonrise.You select a location and the date you're interested in and it shows the direction. In this picture the faint yellow line on the right shows where the sun comes up at Nubble Lighthouse Monday March,29 andthe darker yellow shows where it sets the moon is the light and dark blue.The little orange balloon shows where you are standing. The box on the right the wavylines show the hrs you move the scroll bar and the sun and moon lines on the right move showing where they are at any given time of the day. The storm that blew through last week really produce some spectacular waves. I went out early to take some pictures and went to Portland Headlight and was lucky to get this one. The sun came out for a while.There was a lot of damage from the wind,it clocked at over 90 miles an hour. I checked the weather bouys on line and the waves hit 24 feet during the night.

As usual in a big storm Ocean Park got flooded out again this is looking north on West Grand Ave. from Temple Ave. Ocean Park is a section of Old Orchard Beach.

This is a sunrise panorama of the pier at Old Orchard Beach, Maine it looks a lot different in July as you can well imagine.This is the perfect time of the year to have the beach to yourself.

I've neglected this blog for too long now. Starting today I'm going to try to have a daily entry it may only be an image but it will be something.Todays entry was taken last Sunday 12/06 the morning after our first snowstorm of the year, it is a pond at Ferry Beach State Park in Saco, Maine, about 5 miles from my house.In a few weeks of some low temps it should be frozen enough for ice skating .I stiched 2 pics together to make this image.
